AEMFC implementing SAP Ariba Sourcing digital solution
Dear Valued Supplier,
In a move to improve and simplify our interactions with all our valued suppliers, we are pleased to inform you that African Exploration Mining and Finance Corporation SOC Ltd (AEMFC) has implemented the SAP Ariba Sourcing digital system to manage and automate its sourcing processes, as from 1 February 2024. The new SAP Ariba® system is now the platform used to exchange electronic sourcing documents with suppliers. The component of the solution that suppliers will transact on is called the SAP Business Network. This will ensure a better supplier engagement experience.
How will these changes impact you?
- All sourcing related events from AEMFC - Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) - will be digitised and issued to suppliers via the SAP Business Network, which is the platform that suppliers will transact on.
- All suppliers will be required to register themselves on the SAP Business Network before they can access and respond to AEMFC sourcing events. The registration is done once on the first time that you respond to a digitised AEMFC event.
- Open sourcing events will continue to be published on the eTender Portal as well as the AEMFC website, but now with a URL included as part of the advert that will take you to the SAP Business Network when clicked.
- All supplier responses to these events will be required to be online via the SAP Business Network.
- All supplier clarifications will also be performed online via the SAP Business Network.
- Detailed information on how to respond to sourcing events on the SAP Business Network is provided on the Supplier User guides found on the AEMFC website.
What happens next?
- AEMFC will start issuing restricted sourcing events (restricted RFPs and RFQs) on the SAP Ariba Sourcing system in phased approach. If you are invited to these events, you will receive email notification.
- Open sourcing events will also be issued but later on, and these events will be published on the AEMFC website as well as the eTender Portal as per normal.
- For suppliers that are registered with AEMFC already, you will receive an email to register on the SAP Business Network. Please follow the prompts after clicking on the link provided in the email.
We look forward to engaging with you on this project and are certain that this will improve and benefit AEMFC and all our suppliers involved.
Thank you for your continued business relationship with AEMFC.
