Notification of Bid Cancellation.
- BACKGROUND/ DISCUSSION
The above bid was published in the market on the 10th of June 2024 for the Appointment of a Service Provider with a minimum CIDB Grading of 8ME for the Planning, Design, Fabrication, Erection, Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance of a Wet Coal Beneficiation Plant and required Conveyor Belt Systems for African Exploration Mining and Finance Corporation (SOC) Ltd (“AEMFC”) at Vlakfontein Mine for a Period of Thirty-Six (36) Months.

Bidders are to note that AEMFC has made a decision to cancel the bid. The reasons for cancellation are as follows:
- The procurement strategy has changed and AEMFC will no longer source the wet coal beneficiation plant.
The cancellation of the bid has been uploaded on both the National Treasury’s e-Tender Publication Portal at www.etenders.gov.za and the African Exploration Mining and Finance Corporation at www.aemfc.co.za.

The above bid was published in the market on 02 February 2024 for the appointment of a service provider with a minimum CIDB grading of 8SL for the planning, design, fabrication, erection, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of a wet coal beneficiation plant and required belt conveyor systems for African Exploration Mining and Finance Corporation (SOC) LTD (“AEMFC”) at Vlakfontein Mine for a period of thirty-six (36) months.
Tender No: AE/VLAK018/2023 Advertised date: 02 February 2024 Closing Date: 08 March 2024 Bidders are to note that the bid has since been cancelled. The reason for cancellation is that the CIDB grading requested was incorrect, and the bid was not published on the CIDB website. BRIEFING SESSION DATE AND TIME |
A non-compulsory pre-proposal RFP briefing will be conducted via Microsoft Teams on the 22 August 2023 at 10:00 for a period of ± 2 hours. The briefing session will start punctually, and information will not be repeated for the benefit of Respondents arriving late. All interested bidders must register their interests by completing the “Registration of Prospective Bidders Form” attached to the advertisement under Section 11 page 39 of 40 and return it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. “Registration of Prospective Bidders Form” for the briefing session attendance by 17 August 2023. This is to ensure that AEMFC may make the necessary arrangements for the virtual briefing session. Note: The onus is upon the bidders to ensure attendance. |

Bidders are to note that they may be requested to extend the validity period of their bid, at the same terms and conditions, if the internal evaluation process has not been finalised within the validity period.
